Today I marked the 10th anniversary of the ACT Exporters’ Network by addressing their first export symposium and naming the ACT’s inaugural Trade and Investment Ambassadors who will talk-up Canberra whenever they’re dealing overseas.
The Symposium is a unique event for Canberra’s Export community, bringing together exporters and potential exporters to share their expertise with each other on how to make the ACT a more successful exporter.
One of the key aims of the symposium is to hear and collect the views and experiences of as many ACT exporters and stakeholders as possible. The feedback will be considered by the ACT Government in planning business development support and policy into the future.
The Trade and Investment Ambassadors program features 12 successful ACT exporters. They are remarkable Canberrans who are well placed - and willing – to tell anyone abroad who will listen about what Canberra offers in the provision of world-class services exports.
Ambassadors are appointed for two years and were selected by industry peers. They will provide regular reports back to local exporters on their activities.
The 12 Inaugural ACT Trade and Investment Ambassadors are:I congratulate the Exporters’ Network on the symposium, the Ambassador program and on the decade of achievement.
