ACT Chief Minister Katy Gallagher, has today tabled the ACT Government 2012 legislative program, which demonstrates that the ACT Government is working hard to make Canberra a better place to live.
"Since becoming Chief Minister I have made commitments to openness and accountability in Government, to ensure community collaboration in our development of policy and to deliver a more liveable and sustainable city," the Chief Minister said.
"It is the work towards these priority areas which is backed up by introduction of legislation. In 2012 the program will see 36 bills and two exposure draft bills which all deliver on our commitments to the community.
"Our legislative program this year reflects our continued investment in the things that matter most to Canberrans and reflects our determination to keep delivering an even better Canberra," the Chief Minister concluded.
"The full legislative program demonstrates just how hard we are working to maintain a high standard of living for Canberrans. It shows this is a Government has more to do, has fresh ideas and a vision for how to make Canberra even better," the Chief Minister concluded
